Romero is here on a radio talk show on Lush 99.5FM. Afternoon drive time Radio interview. This took place today (yesterday in Singapore!). Romero had a chance to answer questions about his art and his excitement over the Singapore Grand Prix taking place right now which inspired a lot of the art on exhibit in Opera gallery on Orchid Street, Singapore. People in the city have been clamouring to speak to Romero as his art is all over city banners and in all the media as well as 9 monumental sculpture instalations down Orchid Ave.

Britto donates "South Africa 2010" to Fifa Charity!

Romero's piece- titled, "South Africa 2010," was unveiled at the 59th Annual Fifa Congress, held in Nassau Bahamas, in front of 1000 delegates from around the world. "South Africa 2010," will be the first piece in the Fifa Art Collection, and will be on display at the Fifa Headquarters in Zurich Switzerland.

Romero also donated another piece, titled "South Africa 2010," to Fifa's honorary charity- Football for Hope. Due to Romero's generosity, the Secretary General, Jerome Valcke, announced that Fifa will donate $100,000 euros to the Football for Hope.

Britto is on 5th and Ocean!

The Berkowitz Development Group commissioned a group of monumental aluminum sculptures including two 30 foot palm trees and a 10 foot beach ball designed by Romero Britto.

The three sculptures will be permanently installed on the corner of 5th Street and Ocean Drive in South Beach, welcoming tourists and the community to the Florida Beaches.

Roses on Parade - The rose was created for the Pasadena Tournament of Roses community art program, “Roses on Parade” bringing exciting public art to Pasadena to benefit children’s art programs. Twenty-four sponsored limited edition Roses created by participating artists into unique works of art were unveiled by Pasadena Tournament of Roses on Sunday, November 2, 2008 at the Tournament of Roses mansion in Pasadena. The ceremony was attended by artists, sponsors, City of Pasadena officials and dignitaries from Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association, including the 2009 Queen and her Royal Court. The Roses were displayed throughout the day on the front lawns of the Tournament mansion creating a spectacular Rose garden. The Roses will continue to be displayed throughout the Pasadena community and at local businesses as part of the 2009 Tournament of Roses Parade Celebration. Paseo Colorado will exhibit three of the Roses through January 15, 2009 in Garfield Promenade. Featured in the exhibit will be: The “Rose Kennedy” Rose, created by internationally acclaimed pop artist Romero Britto and sponsored by Paseo Colorado. Britto’s vibrant and passionate collection is easily recognized for its bright colors and bold compositions. Britto is World renowned, his sculptures and paintings are exhibited on five continents and sought by art lovers everywhere.
